September's coming, and it's not just the kids going back.
Updated: Aug 27

I can feel it already. That shift in the air before September even arrives — you know the one. Everyone starts talking about "back to school" and "new term" like it's exciting and for some people it is. But if you're anything like a lot of the women I work with, you might be feeling something else creeping in too.
Maybe you know your youngest is starting school for the first time in a couple of weeks, and you're dreading it more than you're letting on.
Maybe your eldest is off to uni soon, and you're already bracing for how quiet the house is going to be, yep this one is me!
Maybe you got made redundant a while back and September always feels like the month you're "supposed" to have it together by new term, new job, new you, except you don't, not yet.
Or maybe it's nothing to do with school or work at all. Maybe September is just a month that catches you every year, for reasons that don't always make sense until you're in it.
Whatever it is, you don't have to wait until it's actually happened to feel it. Anticipating a change can be just as heavy as living through it. Sometimes heavier, because you're carrying it and still trying to function normally in the meantime.
So if you can feel September coming and something in you is already bracing, that's not you being dramatic or getting ahead of yourself. That's just what it feels like to be a person who notices things shifting before they shift.
You don't need to wait for it to "properly" happen before it's worth talking about.
If you want to talk it through before it lands, I offer a free 15-minute call, no pressure, just a chat.
